My First Post!

I'm creating this blog as a place to put together my life experience in words and pictures.

A little bit about me, I grew up in Washington, lived in California for years, went back to Washington. From there, I joined the military and just got stationed in Southeast Texas.

I just registered at AMU and I'm planning on taking a couple easy classes at first to ease into the process of doing college online. Also, because I'm still working on getting a couple qualifications at work. I don't want classes to distract too much from that. November or December is probably when I'll start. I'll name a few things I'd like to get started within the year.

One, which I've already started the process of, is getting into college to work on my bachelors in Environmental Science.

Two, I'd like to get re-certified as a scuba diver (It's been a few years since I've dived)

and then find a group I can dive with consistently out here in South East Texas.

Three, volunteer somewhere local that gives me experiences with animals or marine life. I've already spotted a few places such as the Houston aquarium, I think there's a zoo near there too. There's a spot called the Moody Gardens that I haven't visited yet. I've also heard there's a natural science museum! I'll definitely have to check that out on one of my days off.

So those are just a couple things I can think of right away. Obviously, there's lots more I want to do.

But I need to focus and get these things done. I found a scuba place nearby I'm going to call tomorrow.

I applied for FAFSA yesterday and I'm waiting to hear back what I qualify for. Fingers crossed!
